StaffMe.net Receives Extension to Mentor-Protégé Agreement

Knoxville, Tenn., (July 7, 2007) ¯ StaffMe.net, LLC and its network of divisions, has announced it has received two additional years to the Mentor-Protégé Agreement with Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU).  

In 2006, the Company signed the original Mentor-Protégé agreement with ORAU, approved by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The agreement is designed to encourage DOE prime contractors to assist small disadvantaged firms certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA). The program seeks to foster long-term business relationships between small business entities and DOE prime contractors and to increase the overall number of small businesses that receive DOE contract and subcontract awards. With businesses utilizing this agreement, they may use StaffMe.net to purchase goods and services up to $5 million with a single source justification.

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium leveraging the scientific strength of 99 major research institutions to advance science and education by partnering with national laboratories, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education for the U.S. Department of Energy.
